A Love Story part 1

I am entering this in 2 challenges
Whimsical Wednesday and
Throwback Thursday at My Creative Time
The challenge at My Creative Time was to use a lite cartridge, and add bling.  So I started with the Handy Man cartridge.
The challenge at Whimsical Wednesday was just to make a Father's day card/project, and this was certainly a project.
This is the front cover of a book that I made for my husband for Father's Day, I have not scrapbooked in the past, so this was by far the most intimidating project I have taken on. The house was cut at 10 1/4", and mounted on cardstock that was 8 1/2" X 4 1/4". I stitched the roof with white gel pen, and the picket fence and title are stitched in red. The windows were made with plain white cardstock and I brushed light yellow ink over them.  The name on the front door was cut from the Pooh font cartridge, I don't know the size since I had to shrink it on my design studio.  For the doorknob I used a brown button with ivory twine.  The flowers in the window are from my Freshly Picked cartridge, but I added bling to the centers of the flowers and used glitter glue on the flowers and leaves.  Lastly I used my binder to cut the holes and bind the book all together.
